Rehabilitation and physiotherapy now play an important in the recovery process in dogs after orthopaedic intervention. In some cases we may be able to avoid surgery all together and return a normal function by improving the dynamic function afforded by the muscles, nerves, ligaments and tendons within the limb.
South West Animal Rehabilitation is based within our premises at Jubilee Barn but is owned and managed independently by Kate Davy MCSP specialising in animals ACPAT cat A.
Having such a close and direct relationship between surgeon and physiotherapist allows us to optimise the care for our shared patients.
South West Animal Rehabilitation has extensive facilities and experience in treating dogs and cats after orthopaedic intervention. Modalities available include underwater treadmill, manual therapy, electrotherapy, exercise programmes, laser therapy and proprioceptive re-training.
Please contact Kate directly for any further information or to make an appointment.
