Hugo - TPLO Cruciate surgery
We were so thankful that our local vet referred us to Ridge Referrals. From the outset we were all treated with respect and compassion. As with the majority of pet owners, Hugo means the world to us and it was heart-breaking to see him in so much discomfort. I’m sure that the strict guidance on crating, exercise and care made an enormous difference to the outcomes of Hugo’s surgery. It was tough, there’s no getting away from it, for Hugo and us. We had two crates, one in the kitchen and one in the sitting room, so that he had a change of scene and could be near us wherever we were. It seemed odd to crate him before surgery, but it made everything so much easier post-surgery. In fact we continued to crate him at night and if he was left, until a couple of weeks ago, to be sure that there was no nonsense! He didn’t mind!
He also had to get used to being walked on a lead at all times. This was something we seldom did before his surgery. It’s only now, some five months since his operation, that we’ve felt confident to let him run free. I’m not sure who enjoyed it most - him or us. It was wonderful to see him run. We have our dog back. What more could we ask for?
My heart-felt thanks to everyone at Ridge Referrals.
You’re all simply wonderful
